This varied programme demonstrates the wide range of music that can be played on the baroque lute. Fantasias by David Kellner (c. 1670-1748), sonatas by Adam Falckenhagen (1697-1761) and Silvius Leopold Weiss (1687-1750) and music by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) are interspersed with Scottish folk tunes from the Balcarres Lute Book (c. 1690) and my own arrangements of Swedish folk music.
